SMS Messaging Opt-In
Oliver Candle Company collects SMS consent during the online checkout process at olivercandle.com.
Step 1 — Address & Phone Number
During checkout, new customers enter their delivery address at olivercandle.com/shop/checkout. This step includes a required Phone field. The phone number entered here is saved to the customer's Oliver Candle account and is the number that will receive SMS messages if they opt in.
Returning customers who already have an account can update their phone number at any time by visiting olivercandle.com/my/account.
Step 2 — Order Notifications (SMS Opt-In)
Immediately after the Address step, customers reach the Order Notifications step at olivercandle.com/shop/extra_info. The full checkout flow is: Order → Address → Order Notifications → Payment.
Here customers are presented with an optional, unchecked-by-default SMS consent checkbox:

Messages will be sent to the phone number on your Oliver Candle account. To update it, visit My Account.
This checkbox is unchecked by default and is not required. Customers can complete their purchase without opting in.

Opt-In Confirmation Message
Upon opting in, customers receive:
"Oliver Candle Co: You're subscribed to order updates & offers. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
Opt-Out
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Confirmation: "You have been unsubscribed from Oliver Candle Co and will receive no more messages. Reply START to resubscribe."
Help
Reply HELP for assistance: "Oliver Candle Co. Help: help@olivercandle.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
